MOUNTAIN CHALET
This multi-level 5 roost "MOUNTAIN CHALET" has two (2) 1-1/4 and three (3) 1" entrance holes, ideal for small Finch, Nuthatch and Wren to Chickadee, Titmouse, Downy Woodpeckers and the likes. "MOUNTAIN CHALET" weighs approximately 27lbs and measures 22" tall x 25" wide x 27" deep. The 4 small roosts attached to the primary building do not have access cleanout doors however the top floor roost is accessible via a hinged roof.
We placed the birdhouse outdoors to weather a bit but somehow forgot to screen off one of the small roost holes. After only a couple days I spotted one of our small finches dragging twigs through the hole of what was going to be their new home. Fortunately I caught it before they had a chance to settle in. Don't worry…they quickly took up residence in one of our other plush roost and are as happy as can be. That said, you'll notice that I left their nesting twigs right where they placed them knowing that the new residents will no doubt take advantage of their labor of love.
