ABOUT THE ARTIST
TIM STEWART
As an artist I've pretty much run the gauntlet, having studied and practiced an array of media from Classical Realism and impressionism to the abstract and conceptual.
Just as art and culture have always interlinked, I currently find myself overwhelmed by an era when excess and waste compete with ecological environmental responsibility, thus my passion to utilize discarded wood from the likes of old barns & fences and vintage hardware of every sort to create "USABLE FUNCTIONAL ART".
Although my work includes everything from unique garden art, signs, furniture, trinket boxes, frames, lighting, steampunk décor to custom home interior design and exterior/interior wall mural art utilizing every material thinkable from crushed glass & stone to wood & steel - "BIRDHOUSEROW" showcases one of my greatest loves…creating custom homes for my many feathered friends

If there is one thing that gives my Dad a feeling of happiness and freedom, it's creating with his hands. He has always been creating!
I remember as a little girl looking through my mom's scrapbook and seeing this absolutely amazing sketch he drew for her when they were young dating teens. The detail. The imagination. The perfection. This drawing had to be seen and not stuffed away, so I brought it into my 6th grade class to show it off. That was the moment the gift I knew he had was validated by others...and I was so very proud. I still am proud!
Everything he touches turns into a unique piece of art without limitations. From jewelry boxes, mosaics and picture frames...to frog ponds, furniture and birdhouses. :) This site is to give him a place to dream big. To express who he is through his handiwork, what God has created him to do, and what gives him purpose.
